The beauty of Azure Governance is the flexibility it provides to fit the needs of each organization. With security being a major concern within a cloud environment, security configurations, monitoring techniques, and alert systems can be utilized in Azure Governance.
Specific policies can be defined, then assigned, to resources across subscriptions within a single tenant. This control mechanism will deny or audit certain actions of desired resources or resource groups. Alerts are available across different services, including application insights and log analytics. All administrative and development access and usage is logged, even allowing for monitoring on management stations. Naming standards ensure proper identification within scripts, on a bill, or within the portal, which facilitates efficient management of the Azure environment on all levels.
